A seminar titled “Shadhinotar 45 Bochor-e Amader Prottasha O Prapti” was held to reflect on the aftermath of consequences of the Liberation War of 1971 was held on March 16. The award giving ceremony of “Gyantaposh Dr Muhammad Shahidullah Padak-2016” was also arranged as part of the event. This year’s recipient is M. Manjur Kadir, Executive Director of Sheba Manab Kallyan Kendra (SMKK) in Bagerhat. The event was held at the central auditorium of Biswa Sahitya Kendra, Bangla Motor in the city. State minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs Advocate Shamsul Haqwue Tuku was present as chief guest at the event. Freedom Fighter and founding vice-chancellor of University of Comilla Dr Golam Mowlah presided over the entire. He also handed out the prize to M. Monjur Kadir. The event was organized by “Guantaposh Dr Muhammad Shahidullah Smrity Parishad”
